Having lived only a few miles from Heathrow for the last 20-odd years, I now live in a quiet country town in Hampshire with a steam railway at the bottom of my garden and a micro-brewery as my local. I am still getting used to the lack of aircraft overflying the house at all hours and the complete quiet of the roads at night.
I am over 50 (grr), rapidly greying and married to a marvellous, tolerant husband who I met at a Trek con more years ago than I care to remember and who then proceeded to pimp me into ECW re-enactment.
Although I am interested in many TV series - Dr Who, Torchwood, UFO, Babylon 5, Buffy, Stargate SG-1 among them - I do not write in or follow many fandoms. My two main ones right now are The Professionals, (my first and main - it's always about the lads) and - since the remarkable events of the 2010 Election - the UK political scene.
I have a research MA in Romano-British archaeology and an air traffic controller's license, and I love slash.
Slash is about a close and loving relationship (including sex) between men, so if you are under 18 or can't handle that concept, please go away. This is my LJ and I'll put in it what I like. So there.
